Has anyone seen F=kx?

I'm sitting looking out the window at the return of snow. We were so close to be able to ride Blue and to putting the winter jacket in storage. The weather was tolerable before. Even with the 30mph winds yesterday the riding was fun. Was able to get out near Holy Hill and found a good training climb. I still am looking for a solid two mile climb. Maybe I need to get to one of the coasts for some training.

At this point the season is really coming up. I've yet to sign up for a series number, but will take care of that sooner rather than later and will get my license for MTB and CX. The cost is so much better than paying $10 per race, when they actually collect it. Is it compulsive that I already know the gearing and shifts for the entrance to the bowl? Maybe I need to get a basement lap to practice the singletrack skills.

Try to figure out the equation.

Winter Training

Yesterday I got out for the first ride of the new year. I have been on the trainer, but that really doesn't count for serious riding. We had a solid group together with a few Pedal members and a few new faces. Leaving WB we toured the northern part of Wash Co and event made it into Fon Du Lac Co before heading back. We were on the roads for almost three hours, which is the most time I have spent on a bike since the 3hr WEMS race in Green Bay. Lungs felt great, but the legs now feel like a new rider. It was a good start, but now I have a bike to clean and a trainer ride on tap.

Let the good times roll

It's been a really long time. I decided that I needed to take some time off and rest from typing, not really, but it was worth a shot.

The winter training has been much more consistent than it was last year. I'm much more focused on the end result this year and have not pounded myself into the ground by riding 12 hours a week. The weight has dropped and the power is on the rise. Next year should be interesting.

Biggest news is that I have some new wheels and they get me some preferred parking at WORS.
